Purgo Scientific, LLC was founded in 2018 around an innovative medical device technology spun out of the University of Utah’s Bone and Biofilm Research Lab. Purgo Scientific licensed the unique technology, which provides a clinically translatable method for treating surgical site infections by generating and sustaining a high-concentration antibiotic field, precisely where needed most, within the tissues of the surgical site.
