This webinar focuses on the current status of the Japanese medical market and regulation in contrast with other markets. Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Los Angeles offers a short market and subsidy report, business matching, free consulting and free office with certain conditions to companies doing business in Japan. Participants will obtain a perspective of the Japanese life sciences market and understand how to enter with JETRO.
The presenter will be Norihiko Saeki, executive director at Japan External Trade Organization Los Angeles and special advisor to the minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan.
Norihiko Saeki Biography
Norihiko Saeki serves as the Executive Director of Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Los Angeles and coordinates the collaborations between the U.S. and Japanese Industries in the area of Healthcare and investment. In this capacity, he is responsible for the overall strategy and execution of innovation policy and industry collaboration especially in health care.
Norihiko also serves as a Special Advisor to Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan and his task is to recommend the policy options as well as promote collaboration at the governmental level. He joined the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan in 2001 and was the principal deputy director at Bio Industry Division and formulate bio industrial policy including regenerative medicine, genome medicine, antibody medicine and nuclear acid medicine from 2014-15.
